First FuneralDecember 3rd, 2009 @ 2:20 am
My grandmother (dad’s mom) in NY passed on December 1st & I was deeply saddened on the 30th (sunday) when I heard she was dying. I had to work & I couldn’t control my emotions. Luckily my managers were very sympathetic after learning about why I was feeling the way I felt & they allowed me to change jobs & then go home early. They’ve even granted my day off so that I may attend my grandmother’s funeral. There is honestly no worst feeling like losing family. My parents are in NY, they’ve been there all week & won’t be back until Monday. My grandmother will have a 2nd funeral on Tuesday here. Well I know that my grandmom is watching over me & that I must continue to make everyone proud by upholding the legacy & being successful.
On the bright side, I am definitely on the move with my modeling. I have an virgin indian hair shoot opportunity on Sunday, I have to get my hair done on Friday; the sew in. I chose the curly hair, so hopefully it comes out great, it’s crazy because I have Remy in my hair now but it’s straight & now I have to have it taken out & another process. I also have an opportunity to be shot in an editorial for Upscale Magazine, that’s pretty major, once again, my hair will change. I also have a makeup artist shoot that will be themed whenever we meet & come up with the ideas. I have 3 more photographers I must shoot with before the New Year. I’ve also been chosen as a feature in a couple of fashion shows for the new year. I am also a finalist & currently the first & only finalist for this publication company I’ve been with to possibly be the cover model for a Beautiful Women 2010 project that will be distributed Nationally. I’m excited. I love being busy & I love my hard work paying off.
