Flooding In Atlanta
Posted on September 21st, 2009 @ 7:13 pm

It’s been raining for one week straight. There have been some evacuations due to flooding. The interstate has been flooded in different areas & people have had to be rescued from their cars. This is really crazy because normally we dont get rain like this of any sort especially during late September. Our last days of summer were rainy. A lot of schools have closed, even colleges have canceled classes or closed. That is a good thing because there are a lot of people being affected by this rain. So many evacuations. Homes & apts. flooded 7 the bad thing is that it’s still raining & more is on the way. Trees are following, roads are blocked, power is being knocked out, etc. I’ve just never experienced anything like this. When people step out of their cars, the water comes to their knees. One van was seen on the news with water up to the roof. I just hope all of this rain ends soon. I feel like the malls & other local businesses should close because people really dont need to be out in this weather if it’s not necessary, plus I have to work tomorrow :-(.
